Dear Brother and Sister
Once more I sit down with pencil in hand for the purpose of writing you a few lines to let you know where I am, and how I am getting along. well last Wednesday morning there was about 200 of us cripples left the Hospitals in Frederick and arrived here about midnight. we had to walk about a mile from the depot and I have been rather lame and sore ever since but am getting along very well / this property here where this Hospital is was the property of the Rebel General Stuart, now confiscated property.

there is a nice house here and several buildings for Hospitals. it is pretty cool weather here to day.

Some of Stuarts Cavalry are coming up to give you a call in Penna. Governor Curtin has called out the militia again to stop the rebels from coming north.
Well I must close for the mail leaves soon.

            direct to Stuarts Mansion
            Baltimore, Md. so good
            by from your brother.
