Genl Sam Houston Dear Sir
I have finished my tour for collecting taxes for 1862 and found no agent for you that was authorized to settle your taxes. I left a receipt for the amount of your taxes and two others that you are agent for Mrs Royston and Martin A. Lee at Mr J. C. Kelleys except the amount for 1861 as unrendered for that year which will be sold after the first of august next if not paid before that time
