Daniel Clark
Daniel Clark was born around 1808 in Vermont. He eventually moved to Wallisville, Texas, and he married a woman named Mary. They had at least three children: Mary Jane, born around 1846; William, born around 1852; and Phoebe, born around 1853. He worked as a carpenter, and by 1860, he owned $10,000 of real estate and $600 of personal property. During the Civil War, he served as a tax collector. He remained in Wallisville after the war, and he earned a living as a farmer. By 1870, he owned $4,000 of real estate and $600 of personal property. He died sometime after June 1870.
