Erskine Williams
Erskine Williams was born around 1836 in Vermont to Daniel Williams and Emily Erskine. His father died sometime before 1850. Williams grew up and attended school in Claremont, New Hampshire, and by 1850, he was working as a shoemaker. He and his mother moved to St. Louis, Missouri, sometime in the 1850s. He continued working as a shoemaker there, and by 1860, he owned $5,000 of personal property. He married a woman named Lillian sometime before 1880. They remained in St. Louis until at least 1901, and they eventually settled in Maine. He died in Perkins, Maine, on March 15, 1907.
