Dear brother
I now take my pen in hand to let you know that i you know am well and hope that you are the same i am going to school now it will soon be vacation. lillie is going to school this summer. she reads in the second reader. Dow ihope that you and Oliver will soon be home, and tell Oliver to bring his drum home if he can. alfred is at home. James went to git a place this morning to work. mother is not very well now. we have bin making soap to day. mary is going to the sociable tonight. / my teachers name is Mr whiting. all the scholars like him very much. Chancy is to work to failing now. lottie is going to school this summer. she has not bin down in a long time. Byron has bin fishing to day he caught one ridhorse. Charles Bennett has got back from the east he got back yesterday them apple trees that you set out is growing nicely. we have set out some curents this season Mr Sutherland has got married to Miss Walton a lady that lived to Mr Kennys last winter. their is very pesent wether hear but it is so very dry I dont think that their will be very much wheat raised unles we have rain soon. their is not eny town news going on so i havent much town news to write nothing more at present. you mist excuse my mistakes. from youre brother
