Edward P. Shibley
Edward P. Shibley was born on January 31, 1854, in Oswego, Illinois, to Christian and Mary Ann Shibley. His father was a farmer and mechanic who died sometime in the 1850s. He grew up and attended school in Oswego, and by 1870, he was working as a day laborer. He moved to Chicago, Illinois, in the 1870s, and he earned a living as a book deliverer. He married Ida C. Dye on June 7, 1893, and they apparently had no children. He worked as a cigar dealer. He died in Chicago on June 24, 1936.
