Dear brother it is with pleasure that I take the oportunity to right you a fiew lines to let you no that I am well at present hoping that these fiew lines may find you all enjoying the same blessing We are now in camp dunham seventy five miles south of lewisville Ky but we have marching orders for tomorow but I dont no where we will go yet / there is was a bridge burned down between here and lewisville last night We are expecting a battle here every day there is a good many slaves of rebel masters at work here throwing up entrenchments and building forts We was called out in line of battle one night since we have been here but it was a fals alarm the rest of the boys are all well as far as I no this is a very hilley cuntry here / I want you to right and let me no how the friends are all geting along and especialy my dear family Direct your letters to
