Angelina Fidelia Abbott was born around 1847 in Pennsylvania to Thomas K. Abbott and Tryphena Estee. Her father was a farmer who owned $4,500 of real estate and $800 of personal property in 1860. She grew up and attended school in Freehold, Pennsylvania. She married Horace Baker around 1869, and they had at least two children: Tewille, born around 1870; and Margaret, born around 1875. They lived in Freehold, and her husband worked as a farmer. They moved to Harmony, New York, sometime in the late 1800s, and Horace found a job as a grocery merchant there. He died there around 1920, and she followed on November 4, 1934.
