James B. Burdick
James B. Burdick was born on November 25, 1822, in Connecticut. He married Eunice Rix on March 8, 1848, and they had at least five children: Ella, born around 1852; George, born around 1854; Mary, born around 1857; Ada, born around 1860; and Frank, born around 1860. They lived in Griswold, Connecticut, and he earned a living as a farmer. By 1860, he owned $4,000 of real estate and $2,000 of personal property. A decade later, his wealth had increased to $7,000 of real estate. He died in Griswold on August 15, 1908.
