Mrs C A Bay I take my pen in hand to in form you that I recieve your moste kind and welcom letor that you wrote on the 24 of Setember and I was to here that you was amounst the living and in good helth and i am very glad to here that your helth is good the helth in our country haint very good this fawl their is considruble of fever and ague I have bin onwell about three weeks and my wife and too of the children with the ague But our helth at the present is tolarable good / I hope when these few lines coms to hand they may find you engoing good helth and your dear children helth is the pleasur of the world and much hapiness to your selve I muste inform you that i had bin at Fredric Hawk to day and found Merand very sick with the feever and she has bin unwell about three or four weeks of and on Krit and your Mother had bin their and Fredric looks very poor you requested me to see to get your pay and Jonas wrote a letor to me conserning your money so i told Mr Baha to write to Thomas and he did so and drawed your money and i recieved / the amount of pension 47 Dollars and 25 Cents and Mr Baha kep his pay out of it and left 37 Dollars and 25 in my hand for you and out of it I paid one dollar and twenty five cents to Mr Adleyberger for recording your deed and now the amount left in my hand is thirty six Dollars But your bounty hasent com yet but Mr Baha said that it would com in a short time now I want you to write and let me no what to do with the money I should have wrote sooner to you but i thought that I would wait till Mr Baha got an answer from Thomas Bay 
 
Sanuel Shell has got home safe and sound John Henry Moter is living with me yet
 
Mr J[?] has left his home and took his familey along with him So nothing more at the present time but remains my love to you and your famley and much respect to C A Bay
