Lucinda Nevitt
Lucinda Nevitt (maiden name: Thompson) was born around 1838 in Ohio to John and Sarah Thompson. Her father was a farmer. They moved to Grandview, Iowa, around 1840, and she attended school there. She married Joseph H. Nevitt on October 6, 1858, and they had at least three children: Sarah, born around 1859; Florence, born around 1861; and Julia, born around 1870. By 1860, they owned $250 of personal property. A decade later, their wealth had grown to $1,680 of real estate and $1,458 of personal property. Her husband died on April 24, 1871, and she married Eugene Lymon sometime in the 1870s. She died in Iowa in 1914.
