Mr. James Burdick
Dear Sir,
Your letter of the 1st inst. is at hand I have waited with patience some time to hear from you we did not know but that you had given it up entirely.
I am authorized to say that if you think there is a chance to go ahead with the work and what ever assistance you need the friends here will grant you if you need money please write me the amount we are purfectly willing to trust it with you.
In regard to the letters / which you wrote to Aunt Sarah we know nothing about for she lives (36) thirty six miles from here and she has not written a word to us about it. the friends here choose me to attend to the business but if Sarah is willing to do it I am willing she should. Do not fail to do all in your power.
All are well as usual.
