Nolan S. Dickson
Nolan S. Dickson was born around 1822 in Tennessee. He eventually moved to Wilkinson County, Mississippi, and he married Ann E. Winans on January 4, 1849. They had at least two children: Lucy, born around 1852; and William, born around 1861. They lived in Wilkinson County, Mississippi. He owned at least one enslaved laborer in 1850, although that year’s federal census described him as a “planter.” By 1870, they owned $6,000 of real estate and $1,300 of personal property. He died on June 9, 1870.
