Eliza L. Selden
Eliza L. Selden was born around 1849 in New York to Joseph and Almeda Selden. Her father was a Methodist clergyman. The family lived in Independence, New York, until the early 1850s, when they moved to Willing, New York. She married Cyrenus Larrabee around 1867, and they had at least five children: Pauline, born around 1868; Effie, born around 1870; Almeda, born around 1872; Lawrence, born around 1883; and Florence, born around 1888.
 
They settled in Liberty, Pennsylvania, and her husband worked as a jeweler and watch maker. Her husband died sometime in the late 1800s, and by 1900, she was living in Port Allegany, Pennsylvania, and earning a living as a milliner. By 1910, she was living in her daughter Pauline’s household in Petersburg, Virginia, and by 1930, she was living in her daughter Almeda’s household in Cleveland, Ohio. She died in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, on September 9, 1932.
