Margaret Jane McKinney
Margaret Jane McKinney was born around 1843 in Indiana to Gideon McKinney and Catherine Hubbard. Her father was a farmer. Margaret grew up in Flinn, Indiana. Her father died around 1854, and her mother married Peter Cauble soon afterward. By 1860, she was living in Cauble’s household in Washington, Indiana. She married George W. Colglazier on February 22, 1863, and they had at least eight children: Edward, born around 1866; Arabella, born around 1868; Otis, born around 1869; James, born around 1872; Albert, born around 1874; Charles, born around 1877; George, born around 1880; and Minnie, born around 1881.
 
They lived in Washington, Indiana, and her husband worked as a farmer. By 1870, they owned $400 of personal property. They moved to Center, Kansas, around 1871, and then to Jackson, Kansas, in the late 1800s. Her husband died around 1904, and she passed away of “acute indigestion” in Kansas on October 5, 1921.
