Amarada Crawford (maiden name unknown) was born around 1815 in Tennessee. She married William Crawford, and they had at least seven children: Malinda, born around 1841; Mary, born around 1843; Benjamin, born around 1846; Sarah, born around 1850; Jackson, born around 1852; William Henry, born around 1855; and Catherine, born around 1858. They lived in Hawkins County, Tennessee, and her husband worked as a farmer. By 1850, they owned $250 of real estate. A decade later, they owned $1,000 of real estate and $250 of personal property. Her husband enlisted in the Confederate army on August 1, 1861, and he probably died a year later, on August 15, 1862. Amarada probably died sometime before 1870.
