John Moore Cooney
John Moore Cooney was born around 1832 in New York. On May 11, 1861, he received a commission as a 1st lieutenant in Company F of the 38th New York Infantry. He was promoted to captain on August 3, 1861, and he served as assistant adjutant general. He resigned on January 26, 1864. He died sometime after January 1864.
