Sarah Louisa Hester
Sarah Louisa Hester (maiden name: Fuller) was born around June 1833 in Wilmington, Ohio. She married Evan Dever Hester on October 25, 1853, and they had at least eight children: Emma, born around 1854; Henry, born around 1856; John, born around 1858; Minerva, born around 1860; Sarah, born around 1862; William, born around 1865; Louise, born around 1868; and Albert, born around 1871.
 
They lived in Adams, Ohio, and her husband worked as a farmer. By 1860, they owned $500 of personal property. They moved to Washington, Ohio, in the 1870s, and her husband died of pneumonia in early 1890. She applied for a widow’s pension in March 1890 and eventually secured one. By 1900, she was living with her son Albert in Wayne, Ohio. She died in April 1915.
