Anna F. Tupper (maiden name: Church) was born around 1820 in Connecticut. She probably grew up in Millington, Connecticut. She married Roswell Tupper on March 25, 1838, and they had at least six children: Henry, born around 1839; Charles, born around 1842; Florina, born around 1844; Joseph, born on November 6, 1846; Angenara, born around 1849; and Roswell, born around 1852.
They lived in Connecticut until the mid-1840s, when they settled in Campton, New Hampshire. Her husband worked as a sawyer, and they owned $2,000 of real estate by 1850. Her husband moved to Eureka, California, in the 1850s with their son Charles, but she remained in Campton with their youngest children. She earned a living as a farmer, and by 1860, she owned $1,000 of real estate and $1,000 of personal property.
She moved to Eureka in the 1860s, and her husband died around 1868. She married William Sweasey on August 23, 1868. Her husband worked as a merchant in Eureka, and by 1870, they owned $3,000 of real estate and $5,000 of personal property. She committed suicide by hanging herself on January 10, 1880.
