Dear sir
I seat my self to scrible A few lines to you to Pass away time I am happy to inform you that I am well and hope this will find you the same the long look fore Box came to hand to day all right with the Exceptons the Grapes they wer spoilt all sour the shirts are splended suited to a T I could not don Better myself they are just what I wanted the Socks are first rate just the things in fact evry thing is nice just what I wanted I do not Belive if I/had got them myself I should have suited myself half as well and I am a thousand times oblige to you fore your trouble you have tacken and if I live to get home I shall Endevor to repay you fore it. if you will you may make out the Bill of them and send it to me the next time you write and Oblige fore I should like to know about what it cost me fore I want to make calculations that is all well now about the Gloves you sent 2 Pairs did you intend one Pair fore Neal I understud in your letter that you sent 2 Pair to me one Pair light & one heavy did I understand you right or did you intend one Pair fore Neal if so let me know amediately fore he is disappointed/in not getting eny I would let him have a Pair of them but he wants the heavy ones and I want them myself and the light ones I do not care a greatdeal about selling for they will come handy but if I get a good chance I shall let them go Ed he is very much Pleased with his Pen he is well and send his Best Respects to you well George how do you all do to night I hope you are all well I Expect you have some cold weather up thair about this time well we have very chilley nights and days are quite warm well George I almost forgot it is quite healthy hear not a greatdeal sickness now well George I must close fore this time fore I have another letter to/yet to night give my Best Respects to Mrs B tell her I am ashame at times Oblige to her fore makeing my shirts so nice they are a nice fit give my Best Respects to all inquiring Friends that tobacco you comes very handy I have not had eny so good as that is since I left Mass and as I smoke it it remindes me of old times Be shure and send me that Dollars worth of Postage stamps fore I am out and Oblige Please Write soon

Phelps & Neal have gone on the Experdision 2 whole companys and a Part of ours they left yesterday I do not know theare Destination it is reported Plymouth but I have my Doubts as to thare gowing thare I still Remain with the company November 7th 1864
