I seat myself to answer your letter wich came to hand in due season Bearing of Date of the 2ond with stamps inclosed I am well and hope this will find you the same I suppose Excitement Run very high in Cleveland and the surrounding coutry yesterday well how did it run with you there did little Mac come in or not I hope he did but I have my fears about his getting although I hope he will I should like to fire a hundred guns fore him so would Bigest Part h of/this Armey now hear we have not got the news yet we wont get it fore three or four Days yet Pleas send me the Plain Dealer if you will fore I like to Read it Better then the others we Did not get a chance to vote attall hear yesterday fore what reeson I cannot tell
 
Wednesday Evening all is well and I will finish this I wish I had your Morning Paper to see how Election went of I suppose you have heard before this as I said before I hope little Mac will come in Well George I am Devlish lonesome to night d—d if I dont wish I was Back home to night but then I aint well never mind I will hurry up and finish this and go and take a game of Eucher the Boys/are a waiting fore me to finish this Well George I think I ascape quite well I think them boys will ketch hell before thay get back but it comes hard on the boys that are fef left on guard thay come on evry other Day but that dos not Efect me eny fore I am on Detail on the guns I have charge of 4) 32 Pounders Brass Pices I have a nice time of it it takes me about half of the time on them and the rest of the time to myself evry night in no other Duty of eny kind well George I must close fore this time there is A mail due to morrow and I shall Expect some letters give my Best Respects to mrs B and to all inquireing Friends Pleas Write soon
