                                                                                                I seat myself to write to you and let you know things are going on I am well as usual and hope this will fiend you in the same enjoyment I was out to Brooklyn today evrything is all right and safe and sound thair is some water in the suller but not enough to do any hurt I knock one of the boards from the suller windo and look in and see that it is all right I staid to comes still monday morning and then went to town I am staying at allens have not gorn to work yet allen thought I had better not becaus I shall go on the road soon I am expecting to go one evry day and it will be no use to go to work with him fore to or three days I wrote to George last sunday I told him all the particulars and all the news
 
you know when you went away Mrs Smith went to town and road back with me she was so drunk she could hardly set up and she went to town again saturday and was so drunk that he had to get a horse and go after her and she could not set up he had to holder up he did not go after her till after darck you can judge how he felt I never see a man feel so in my life seems if the old man would sink I prettyed him he did not know what to say it is to bad he would not let her go again last week she said she wanted to go real bad but he said she should not go and she had to stay to home I got a letter frome George last monday it was dated the third of last month right after yours he wrote one to you but said if you had some I need not send it becaus he had sent you one but I will send it in this
 
well I will close for this time allens folks and smith send their respects and want you to write yours in hast—it is now one o clock

hear is a letter from town was left to smith and I will send it in this

G. G. Allen     I shall go to sit again tommorrow thair is some other papers fore you and send them and see what is the reason Babe cocks done send them one as fast as they come
