On the 13th broak camp and marched about six miles going into camp on the Victoria and Lavaca Rail Road-(12) twelve miles out from Victoria. During the remainder of the month the regt was engaged in repairing the R.R. which had been next to utterly destroyed the ties being burned and the rails heated and bent by the Rebles before the Fedral Forces occupied this section of Texas.
During the month (45) forty five men wer mustered out of the Regiment by reason of Experation of term of service leaveing present for duty on the 31st of (71) 93 seventy one three Encluding inlisted men and Commissioned officers. Absent and present (149) One hundred & forty nine/

The sanitary condition of the Regt has decidely improaved when contrasted with that of last month. The aggregate of those who reported to Regtal surgeon for treatment was (38) thirty eight this month against (94) ninety four last month. very few cases wer sent to General Hospital for treatmen. None died during the month w present with the regt.

During the month three died at general hospital none present with the Regt.

The moral status of the Regt is all that could be reasonabely expected. Situated as we are without house Shade or tent to congregate in. In an unclement season of the year it has been impracticable to hold religeous services of any character in the Regt during the month. All I have to report as for a religeous exercises. I have circulated distributed from tent to tent all religeous and moral reading matter I could procure.
