Dear sister it is with great plesure that set don to drop to you A few line to let you know that am well and hope these few line will find you the same Dear sister I receive your kind leter some time ago I ment to answerd it before this time but I cold not so you must excuse me for this time. Dear sister I have seen brother frank last munday and he stad with me all night Dear sister we have bin Marching over mountain and vally all last week and now we are gurding prisoner we had to sleep out rein or shine in the mud abut/2 feet deep with out any blanket or overcoat to cover us but now we have it little beter Dear sister we have bin cross bull run 2 or 3 time Dear sister I dont think that I shall come home as soon as I told you because I think that we shall to richmon soon but I think that I shall to home by next winter Dear sister we got our pay last tuesday I sent 35 dallor to you and I want you to safe it for me Dear sister when you write let me know wather you rersecive it or not eliza I have not much time to write this time so I must Close these few line so good by for/this time from your brother John Aubin to eliza Aubin please excuse all mistake
