Aubin Dear sister it is with great plesure that I set don to drope you A few line to answerd your leter the 29 witch I resceive last night and red with great plesure I am well at presant and I hope that these few line will find you the same Dear sister you sad you had not herd from home yet you sad that you dint know wither they was was dead or alive well I think that they are all dead for I rote to them too leter and I hant resceive no answer/answerd yet I rote to frank 3 week ago and hant resceive no answerd from him yet Eliza I think that I shall come home the forth of july that is if the war is over and I think that it shall be over and I think that I shall come home before the forth Dear sister it is very plesant to day here how is it to victory is the snow very deep thir now you must safe A maple surger cake for me Dear sister we are agone to go on picket gird next week about 20 mile forom here and stay A week we will have to sleep on the ground and nothing but blanket to/cover us I think that I shall go to alaxander to day Dear sister we axspect to go in A battle soon Dear sister I have not much neuse to write this time so I will have to close these few line by asking you to write soon and often and I will do the same from your affectionate brother
