Peter Johnston White
Peter Johnston White was born on July 24, 1848, in Scottsville, Virginia, to Peter J. White and Martha Adams. He enlisted in the Confederate army on July 24, 1864, and he mustered in as a private in Company G of the 5th Virginia Cavalry. The regiment took part in the siege of Petersburg and the Appomattox campaign.
 
He settled in Richmond, Virginia, after the war, and he earned a living as an architect. He married Frances Moseley around 1875, and they had a son named Orrin. He died in Richmond on September 8, 1933.
