Julia M. Currier
Julia M. Currier was born on September 4, 1827, in Chester, New Hampshire, to David Currier and Lydia R. Melvin. Her father was a farmer and bank cashier who owned $4,000 of personal property by 1860. She attended Mount Holyoke Female Seminary in the late 1840s. The family lived in Auburn, New Hampshire, until the 1850s, when they moved to Derry, New Hampshire. By 1860, she was working as a high school teacher.
 
She lived in Derry until at least 1880. By 1900, she was living in her brother David’s household in Washington, D.C. She died of heart disease in Arlington, Massachusetts, on June 6, 1903.
