                                                                                                Dear father I am well at present I have not time to write I sent my great Coat in a box and my packet in another take care of my great coat untill I send for it the troops are leaving here to morrow we will leave to go South per haps the next letter that I write will will be written in alabama. Al.
 
I will send my new cap home give it to tomey/
 
that letter in the Advocate of march tt.12 is a truth the advocate gives better letter than I can write I take it and I would not be with out it for 2 times its price write soon
