Dear Sister
I now sit myself down to write you a few lines to let you know that I have got my Box I received it the 6th day Friday every thing was just as you put it in I am very thankfull for it my Appels was very nice my Wound looks very well this morning I hope this letter will find you all well and enjoying good health it is a very hot morning out here I suppose it is getting very Warm With you now what is Farther and John dowing now Priscillar I think I shall be at home bout the last of June or the first of July/I dont know but what I can get my discharge I have not much use of my left hand and arm it is num they discharge more then they did while agow if Jim Marshell writes on it will have goodeal of influence I think if I dont get it I shant see enny feighting this Summer. I got payed of the other day I got $37.25 & John I am a gowing to bring you home a dog if I can get one when I come on my fourlough I dont smoak a greateal now I can get Tobaco given to me the Rebs has got my Pipe that you gave me I must close now you write as often as you can Priscilla from your Affectionate Brother
