Captain I have writing several letters to you But from som cause another did not recive any answer I have Bin trying to Colecte rations while I was prisiner of war I would like to have an affidavid from you and the daits when taken when Releast where Exchang and soforth and another thing I lost my health by being in the survise

You remember that I took the rumatic pains when I was at Pilchburg Landing and if you remember when I came back to Memphis I was lame and cripled up. my leg now is lame and my hipe seemes to be srinking it is somthing like the swaney and vury painful Pople tell me that I chould have operition and asurtificd or affidavid from you will be sufficunte
