well will try and finish on this sheet as your letter has just arrived I will endevor to say a word in regard to your remarks and let it go at that. the letter Uncle Rome sent I got and the shiping bill of the cheese. the cheese are here and one 1/2 eat up tho I have sold perhaps one 3d of it for 3 per bl or rather lb. the Box has come long ago and the Grog came through all sound Mother it is a splendid thing and if it dont spoil I shall keep it till near to My bearth day which comes/ on the 10 day of March you also spoke of seeing a drop of rain on the letter guess it must be a mistake in the [?] also you spoke about the money and postage stamps. if you had sent the stamps it would amounted to 1/2 $ but as it was I lost it before the day was gone but what is $1/2 in the [?] onley one good days Fighting. let it go. maby Fortune will prove my luck to find one some time and that will make it up when I do. also you spoke about Newyears I am sorry you did not enjoy yourSelvs any/ better altho I should considerd my self in a comfortable place if I could had the chance of humping over a good warm stove. also you spoke about Reinlisting guess that has played—: and for that matter has bin all of the time. but soon as the Boys found out they couldent come home on Newyears they Backed out altho the has bin some 23 or 4 in the Regt that has Reinlisted and gone for 3 years longer. but let them go. believe Uncle Sam is takeing an underhanded way to get more Soldiers or get those which he has got.
Aunt I supose is doing a big thing. Bying Army horses and Trading Round
well I hope Deloria will go to school and learn fast as possible for learning is the pride of Man and WomenHood. I will write a coppy or two and send alltho I havent got much of a chance nor no one to learn me eny thing
