            Dear Father And Mother
                                                            it is with Pleatcher that I set down to Pen A few lines to you to let you no that I am well And I hope theas few lines will reach you the same I hav not had A letter from you for A good whille not since Scot Deelen came back he brot me one And I ancered it rite away but I think that you did not get it thare aint mutch to rite about only it is Prety Cold hear now we hav had A big sno storm I had A letter from Janey the other day And her litness was in it And it did not look/ like her A bit when I go over to washington I shal get mine taken for her she Looks most as fat as Sarry green did when I came from home my hand trembles so bad that I wont rite much this time but make it up next time
