I now Seet my Selfe To Drop you a fue lines to let you now that I am well at Presant and Ephraim Is also Well and I hope wen thes fue lines reches you that tha ma Find you all Injoying the Same Blesing Well Father this is a Day of rest to us of Abraham Lincolen Bering he was berid To day at 12 OClock and his Furnel was preched here at 7 OClock and I Supose his Furnel was preched to day at Meny difernt through out the union and I am very hapy to Informe you that this Cruel War Is over onse more/ For we have Gernal lee and Gernal Johnston and Richmond and Mobile and meny other Important point that was Strong rebels dens and thare Is no reble army eny more But a fue Small Gerila Sqads Wich wont be a Snap of a Finger to us Eny more and old Mosbey has oferd his Surender to Genral Grant and It is Exceped and the Report Is here that we are To go to Chambersburg befor Twenty more days are past and I am Shure I will be Home to Salabrate the forth of July on Broad top perhaps I will get Home next month and we Can live In pese and lipertey and fredom onse more ouer batels are fot and ouer Grate wictery is won thanks be to god/ and We Give three Cers For ouer noble Soldiers and ouer Grate and Ever fathful Generls hu led ouer armys Through ouer the roten Confederse and may ouer old Flag again wave over the hold united Stats of america as it did before and we Will give a nother three Cers for the Star Spangle Banere long ma She wave over the land of the free and a home of the Brave
Well Deere Father I Will Send you yesterday Evning paper with this letter So as you Can reed the nues for youre Selfe Every thin looks nise and Green here the woods are Geting Green very fast all the blooming trees are out In/ Fool Bloom I Got a letter From Lucy Gonger last monday morning and tha ware all well and I also Got a letter from Charles and tha are all well there Well I was out a fishing this Fore noon and I had fisher mans luck wet ass and a Hungrey gut and Caut nothing I will Close for the presant Hoping to here from you soon
