            Dear Brother
                                    I Now seat my self For the purpoos of answering your last letter which came to hand several weeks past I hav bin Neglant a bout Answering owing to a pres of Work on hand and the shortness of the knights I hav no time to wright onley on knights or sundays times ar prety hard hear at this time Tha keep a man stiring to mak a living When corn is 1 doler per Bushel Bacon from 15 to 20 cts per pound grosery [?]tion good ar very high the Farmers will hav to make ther crops by grasing the teames this year for tha cant get feed It is not in the country the people ar halling corn and hay from 30 to 40 miles I hav got my stock thrue the winter and hav som feed yet but not a nough to do thrue the sumer I hav had som plowing don to wards making a crop but the Wether is still so cool yet that it looks like a Bad chance to mak eny thing I shall work in the shop this sumer I keep a wagin shop in operation William Edwin and and a Renter a Renter will make my crop this sumer Well Thomis I hardley know what moore to wright I had a letter from sister / Susan Tutts sinc I had one from you which statid that mothers helth was Better at that time I want you to wright to mee amediatley on the reception of this letter David Tutts and thomis ar both living in this state a bout 30 miles south of hear I hav had too or three letters from Thomis latley David lost his wife a Bout three weaks ago she left three small chidren one has no legs was born that way I hav had no word from sister Elisabeth Doris for som time or eney of her famley she livs thirty or thirty five miles south of this place I hav bin at Hur hous a time or two since she came to this cuntry B But hav not sean hur for a year or more Well thomis I hav not heard eny thing from Wesley yet my Brother in law Dr Read had a letter a bout two weak past from a yong Dr price prince who is in the same prison he writ that he woud get out if cood by taking the oath and then he wood cum to Spring garden I woud go and sea Wesley if it wear not so far up it is a bout 300 miles north of hear if you get eney word from him you mus let mea know in your letter
