Tribute of Respect
Again the Mesenger of death has visited our community and Hampton Lodge No 137 F & A M has been deprived of the last one of its old Cand[?] master Brother T S Trigg, who was called from labour to rest on the morning of the Seventh of Dec in the eightieth year of his age. Brother Trigg affilleated with Hampton Lodge from Fredonia Lodge Dec 17 1859 and was a true Mason devoted the sublime principles of this noble order
Therefore be it Resolved
That in the death of Brother Trigg this Lodge has lost a true friend and brother, his only surviving daughter Mrs Hervey Whitfield a kind and affectionate father the Community a good citizen and his church a consestant member and as a token of respect to the memory / of our deceased brother that this Lodge be draped and the members wear the usual badge of mourning for thirty days and that a copy of this tribute be furnished the Clarksville for publication and a copy be sent to the surviving daughter and one to this Lodge
