The mother of Private John S. Fishe, of Co. C. of your regiment, very earnestly desires, if possible to obtain a furlough for him, that he may return home and see his only sister, who is in failing health, and not expected to live. If on enquiring, you find it proper, I hope that you may be able to grant her request.
