Dear Aunt Eliza:
I now will try to write you a few lines as I have been writing to Cousins David & Betsy & thought it would be a good oportunity to write to you. I have thought of writing you a long time but one thing & another has presented. I have not been able to write in a long time & now I do not get much time to write for I have a little daughter 10 weeks that requires a good deal of care although she is very good natured & healthy & weighs 12 pounds. she has blue eyes like ma otherwise I think she resembles hir father. ma & I intend visiting the eastern friends next summer if nothing happens to prevent we are all quite well with the exception of colds. how is your helth & little frankie I suppose he has got to be quite a Boy now I would like to here from you & Mary Adelia / how is hir helth now & hirs. Cousin Betsy told me that she had a little boy I believe. give my love to hir & tell hir to write me a letter & I will answer it I am glad she has got a good husband & tell hir for me that I have got a good husband too. we were very much pleased with Cousin Daniels wife. I think she is ladylike & good harted. I regreted that I could not visit with hir more it was only 2 or 3 weeks before my baby was born & I were very misreable & expected every day to be confined while they were here. I was very sick indeed I am surprised to find myself able to write a letter for I thought if I lived it would be months before I could write or do any thing elce but I am now as well as could be expected. well it is geting dark and little Nellie is waking Hattie is walking the floor with hir it is time she was undressed & got to sleep. pa & ma & Eddie myself & the rest / all send their love to you & all the rest. pa was sorry he could not visit you last fall when he was at Binghampton. do write to us as soon as you can so good bye
