Eliza & Frank I got your letter Dated july 17th I was glad to hear from you that you was all well I ceap having large Biles coming out on me yet I have got one on my leag as Big as A goos Egg now I think when tha git through coming out on me I think I shall Be healthy than I am now But tha are painful I tell you Frank I will send you some mony in my next letter to take you & your mother into the fair with so you can go every day it holds I will send you fifty cents in this & the next fifty cents I will send you some papers A long now & then I sent you two with my other letter Before this write how meny letters you got from me while I was at donalson vill I think I wrote five letters to you while thear you will find A little mony in some of them / Eliza you wrote that I did not say A word A Bout you having Eny of that mony I want you & Frank to take it & live on it as long as it last & not suffer for want of A litle mony to make you comphable while you live I want you & Frank do what you like with it if I never Return A gain if you think Mary A Delia or Roy outear have twenty five Dolars of it lett them have it if you dont do as you please with it I think tha had it would not Be Right not to lett her have some she is as Dear to me as Frank is if I dont make as mutch fuss over her as I do Frank he is A grate deal younger than she is & of couarce I want some paines taken with him & love his mother so he will take good cair of her if she lives to Be old & to love his sister to & not have Eny hard words with Each other nor have Eny hard words with his mother / time seemes puty long hear now I have Benn gone from old Chenango one year I have had some good times & some puty hard times I tell you But never mind that if I live through & git Back to oxford & see you all once more I shall never Regretit it I have seen A grate deal sence I left home & learnt A grate deal to it is A good school to Eny one I can tell you thear is A grate meny in old Chenango outer go to sutch A school & learn something & not Be fooles all of thear days thear is A chance for them now & tha Better improve it & not try to Resist the draft & make fools of themselves I think my Brother son could take A fiew lessons that would Be A Benifit to him & some others clost Buy to tha would learn more in six months hear than at home in tenn years tha would say so if tha onely try it six mounths / when tha got Back home A gin tha would say tha did not know Eny thing when tha started from home so I think it twould Be A Benifit to them to come & learn something & Be wise in thear old age. it is vary Rainy weather hear now Raines most every day for A week day days now it is vary hot Betwix showrs hear I tell you write often for I would like to hear from you Every week & Frank & sister to she must write A fiew lines in your letter when she is over thear Frank you must make your letters plainer so I can Read them Better take pins & write slow at first & you will soon learn to write plain & fast to Be A good Boy & good to your mother & that will gain you A good name when Ritches wonnt I must Bid you good arfter noon
