Eliza & Frank you wanted I should write who sick or dead. I thought I would not write hom not A word A Bought who was sick or dead while I was in the army But I will who is sick & died out of Comp. A. Snell, of coventry, Bush, of gilford, Kevel, of gilford, youngs, of gilford, Ensworth of oxford, obman of Bainbridge, shipman of Mcdonah, parmer of gilford, sisson, of shurbern, scot, gilbert, of gilford, Lieutenant, gilbert, of gilford, Holmes, of shurbern, charles smith of oxford, those are the dead. now I will give you the names of those in the hospital sick & those are wounded. wilbur. f. youngs of oxford john Bliven of preston, parmer of Bainbridge, prince of Bainbridge Leach of oxford, Havens of oxford, Bread of Norwitch, frank. phiney of Bainbridge / gorge Birger of Bainbridge Levenbourn youngs, of oxford Milo weeb of Mcdonah, Henry isable of Mcdonah, & five got thear discharge & six or seven in camp with ous that dont do eny duty onley Report to the Docter every morning for medison & it would Be Better for them to let it A lone that is all I can think of now. tell Mrs coughlin David is all Right he tents with me it is Raining vary hear now if we have orderes to march Betwix this & to marrow morning we shall have it vary mudy I can tell you wall we have got usto it mud & Rain is nothing to march in to what I have seen what would the copper heads in oxford think to start at midnight & march in the Rain & mud till morning & then stop long Enoughf to git A cup of coffy & A hard tack to Eat & then start on the march / A gain tha would think tuff of it. I wish tha was hear & had to march in the mud knee deep for six mounths night & Day that would suit me. Every peace Democrat & Copper head outer Be put in frunt to storm som fort like that at port hudson & Every one of them kild that would do them justis that is all I wish of them. the Report hear this arfter noon is that we are going Back to Brashear City A gain to gard that place A gain wall if we do it will seem like home A gain to ous we have Ben thear so mutch wall I cair whear tha take me to whither it into Brashear City or alabamma or to galvestoun texas makes no diferance to me while the war last he is jest as well of in one place as A nother / this is the last of Camp Hubbard for we have got orders to Be Redy in the morning for to march all Right ceap on moveing from place to place ceap Every thing in motion that is the way of the soger he haftear go when the spearetts move or not make no difeance. wall Frank I will write A gain when I find A stoping place I will cend you A paper with this letter for I cant tell whear I shall Be it may Be whear we cant git it & it ma Be whear we can git it Every day you will soon know when I stop Be A good Boy, from your farther Asa Holmes
