Phebe W. Dickey (maiden name: Webster) was born on October 20, 1810, in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Israel and Rebecca Webster. She married William Dickey on December 28, 1834, and they had at least seven children: Julia, born around 1834; Phebe, born around 1835; Israel, born around 1838; Lyman, born on October 20, 1840; Ellen, born around 1842; Nahum, born around 1847; and Adelaide, born around 1849. They lived in Boston, Massachusetts, and her husband worked as a teamster. By 1850, they owned $2,000 of real estate. Her husband died on July 15, 1853. She died of heart failure in North Weare, New Hampshire, on April 17, 1890.
