Dear Father & Mother I take this opertunety to riting to yow to let yow now that I am well & hoping this leter will find yow the same pap I dont think I will get a job in the shop un till we leave her but I have bin working som on wagon I think I will get a job of keeping wagons in order if I doe I will get about 23 dolars & a half a month pap I done a job on a wagon the other day they sed hit was the best job they had saw for a good while hit was done rite & they sed they will give me a job after we all leav here we got Marching orders the other day we think we will go to Caintuckey after / while but we dont now how Soone pap I get plenty to eate every day I got two blankets & 5 pere of socks now & I got a cap they give mee & that hat of yourse here in the Carpet sack when we come through Barnesvill I will throe hit of of they Carse when we Come through but I dont now how sone we will Come pap bud & John Price hase got to driving teames pop ask Isaac pery if he sent tom meser eny socks if he did tom dident get them Micke king sed they got stold from him where we got som Carpet Sacks stold ben Strall got 5 pounds of to backey stold from him on the rode but when we come I dident get nothing Stold / pap I got 1 blanket from mike Cing the leter that I got from mother sed that uncel Joseph sent hit to me tel him I am much a bliged too him for hit but hit has got a marke on hit pop give my best respecks to my frends to mr Williams & to the frenchman pop when I get my money from the goverment I will send hit home to you for I now the you want hit bader than I dow but pap I aint nothng to doe just now but I will have to re peare John Prices wagon to re peare after while in about a week hit will take me about 3 days to do hit / pap tell baley to rite to me soone & tel me about things & wat is a going on pap you send me som stamps I cant get eny here send me about fore 4
