            Dear Mother I take my pen in hand to let yow now that I am well at presant & hoping when those few lines comes to hand they may Find yow oll enjoying the same helth well mother I reseaved youre kind letter on the 3 of Feb and was glad to hear from yow oll well mother I havent got much news to write for there aint nothing going on here and mother oll of the boys is well onley Jack McGeth he has got the tiford feave & he aint eney better and I dont know wether he is eney bett a going to get well or not but if he dos he will have to do better than he is a doing for he would not take the mediancen but I hope he will but mother we haint had nary fite here yet and I think that we aint a going to have a fite by the way thing is a going on but mother tomey is well at presant & he sends his best respecks to yow & pap and oll of the folkes Robert Hase got a letter from Lurestin & he sed that they have a niger meting but when you write tell me where that meting is wot house but mother I heard that Henry Kristin has got to selling whiskey & oll ove the Peaple in Barnesvill but I wood like to hear wether web Folger & Bent Barnes is going to go the penatencry but mother when yow write tell me wot part of indianey Joseph Hall is in for I wont to write to him and wher to direct to but mother I am sory to hear that marys baby died but when yow wrote did yow tell her that I was in the armey but mother / if pap has wrote to morow I haven heard of hit yet but tell James Hall that I am a going to write to him when I get some more stamps but mother when yow send that box of pervisons put in a can of strand huney & plenty of butter and biskets but dont for get to send me my 2 shecks shirts and 2 or 3 pair of socks and a vest but I wrote to Uncel Albert to make me a pair of boots that is oll at presant but mother I found that letter one of the boys out of co E found hit & he gave hit to me & I give ben Uncels his letter
