Dear Mother I take the plasure of writing yow a few lines to let yow now that I am well at presant & hoping when those few lines comes to hand they may find yow in the same helth well mother yow sed that Mrs Edson was sick & was not exspected to live but I hope that she has got beter but Uncel dan Edson has bin very sick but he could not get a round with out a cane but he has got a grede eal Beter & yow sed in youre letter that yow heard that Ben Strall / was shot in the back but that haint so none of it was there wosant none of oure boys heart a toll onley there is a boy from Millwood that got shot in the arm he got shot by oure one boys & his name is Bill Bafard he is from millwood but oll the Boys is well at the presant time Tomey is well & oll the Boys yow sed that Tailor Hall was at Nashvill but I want yow to tell me in youre next letter wot Regt & wot compney & his captons name but mother yow wanted to no how the letters comes to me they go to cincinati & to / Louisvill & to Nashvill & From Nashvil to Huntsvill & there we get them but Mother we will get paid of pirty soon & we will send 35 dolars to pap but give my best respecks to oll of my in quiring friends I reseaved youre letter of the tenth No more at presant
