Dear Mother. I take the plasure of ancering yowre kind letter of the 21 it came to hand on the 25 of the month & I was glad to here from yow & that yow was well but I am well at presant & hoping when those few lines comes to hand they may find yow enjoing the same Blesing well Mother I havent not got much news to wri rite at presant onley Major Genl Beull has got 60 / thousand men at decator & part of them is a crost the Tennessee River & they are a crosing oll the time but I was down at piney Bridge on guard the other day & I went down to the river & they was a crosing on a gun Boat & after they oll get a crost the river they are a going to chatanooga & to Knoxvill & then to richmond but Genl McCook & Gen Nelson has gon a round by Fayettevill with 30 thousand men to get in the rear of these Rebles at Chatanooga & Beuells & mitchel is a going right in frunt of them But Genl Mitchels has gon to Washington & Shouldend be much Supprisd but wot that oure division will go there & I hope that we will but Mother I sent my money home a long go & I sent a reseat to pap so that he could drow it at St Clairsvill at the county traisure & I have sent him the Huntsvill Revellie he will get it for to months So no more at presant / rite Soon So no more at presant
