                                                                                                            I reseaved your kind and wellcom letter of the 9th and was much happy to hear from yow well Soliman I very glad that you hav got the BlackSmith and I want to no if yow hav rented the Shop or caring it on for pay but I wont to no ho is a working in the Shop and a nother thing I wont to no ho is got the Books I dont no ho wont no boddy to hav the Books / but yow and James Hais but Soliman oll I halft to say to yow is to get the Books Setteld up and take care of Mother and the Children but I am very glad that he didant not go into Infantry if he is a BlackSmith he will have one horse to rid and a box and a Sabor and 2 Revolver and one Carbine and he wont have to work on a march and get his 30 dollars a month I get 26 dollar a month / So I ho will bring my letter to a close write soon but give my best love and Respeck to Eliza and oll of my friend

Dear Brother I take my pin in hand to write yow a few lines to let yow now that I am well at / at presant and hoping when those few lines comes to hand thay may find yow enjoying the Same Blesing well Lurestin I yow must excuse me for not writing to yow sooner Lu well yow wanted to no how much I got a month I get 26 dollars a month and Robert Hase gets the same but tomey sed that he wanted to her from yow oll the Boys is well but if yow see Simmon Buttler tell him I am a going to rite I will rite more the next time from
