Thomas Messer
Thomas Messer was born around 1834. He enlisted in the Union army on June 13, 1861, and mustered in as a private in Company B of the 3rd Ohio Infantry. The regiment took part in the Battle of Perryville and the Battle of Stones River. He died of disease in Nashville, Tennessee, on December 22, 1862.
