Dear Mother I take the pleaisure of writing you a few lines to let yow now that I am well at presant and hoping when those few lines comes to hand thay may find yow enjoying the same blesings well Mother I wrote yow a letter at Mitchelvill Tennssee and we left ther on the 16th of this month it is 18 miles we marchet it in a half of a day but Mother I am a going to go to work in a few days we have got a Shop fixt up and we will go to work as soon as we can get some nails we have got plenty of mules Sues / and hors Sues but we have got the Mules and hosses oll Shod up but we ar a going to get paid of in a few days thay ar a going to pay us for 2 months and me and bob Hais will get ouer extry pay and I am a going to send some moore money home So if yow need that money take it and use it for I now yow need it but Mother I want to no wether that pap is got his detail or not if he aint tell him to get it and thay cant make him do no guard duty but if he cant get his detail thay will mak him do duty / I want to no if Pap has got his pay from From Frank Adms for Shing them hoses oll the Boys is well her. but give my best respeck to Soliman and Eliza Davis and oll of my friends So no more at presant write soon
