Dear Mother I take the pleaisure of writing yow a few lines to let yow now that I am well at presant and hoping when those lines comes to hand thay may find yow enjoyng the Same Blesing well Mothe I wrote yow a letter day befor yesterday and I am a going to rite evry 3 days and I will send yow some money as soon as we get paid off and we me and Robert B Hays will get ouer extry pay this / this pay day but Mothe I want some postage stamps and yow send me a bout one dollars worth and I will be vary glad to get them and I haft to send this letter with out a stamp and tell Sol davis that little will More want him to write to him and he will write to him but I seen Co C of the 52 Redgiment pit Shankland and web Folger. but old Jos Hunt wos left in Bowling Green sick and John Merrill and zeeck Mills wos at left back sick / but I herd that John Merrill wos in Louisvill but oll the rest wos well and Tomey Messer is will and oll the Rest of the boys but Charley Elzler is at Nashvill and ben Strahl come to his compney companey the other day
