Dear Mother I take the pleaisure of ancering youre kind and welcom letter of the 21 and 21st came to hand on the 4 I was very glad to hear that yow was well and this leavs me well at presant and hoping when thos few lines comes to hand thay may find yow enjoying the Same blesings well Mother we are at Nashville now and I heard that our breegade was a going to be pel provost guard thair and I hop that it will but I thing if our breegade stays her I will try and / get a detail to work in the goverment Shop and if I do I am a going to try and get to come home but I am well and harty and thair aint no bodey sick in the compney but Mother I heard that henry Uncels was home but mother I seen Uncel Hez the other day he wos well and ther companey wos a going to the Redgiment but Mothe Mickel King is a tring to get to come home on a Leaf of Abcents he is a going up to Rosesseau to day to se him a bout it and if he get to go I will try and Send / my extry pay as soon as I can but the Redgiment will get paid of for 4 months but if king dont come home I will exspress it to Colonel Maickel for yow but Mothe yow needint to say eney thing a bout king a coming home for he dont want eney bodey to no it at home but ther is a lot of ouer Redgiment over in Nashvill and I thing that capton will go over and get Charles Etzler and bring him to the companey but Mother I am a working at my trade yet but ther is 52 dollars a coming to to me / for Blacking Smithing but Mothe I want to no wot is the reason that Uncel Joseph dont rite to me but I want to no wher Isacc Hall is and wher Joseph Hall is I want to rite to him So no moore at presant write soon and give my lov and respeck to Sol and oll of my friends
