Camp Near Nashville Tennessee
Dear Mother and Brother
I take my pen in hand to write yow a few lines to let yow now that I am well and harty but I reseavd yours and Lurestin lette I wos much happy to hear from how that yow was well but I am very Sory to hear that Sol Davis wos a going to leave and I wish that Solomon had of staid and kep the Shop a going but I / dont want to hear that the Shop wos lockt up for I want to hear of the Shop a maicking oll thay can but Mother I want to hear something a bout the Back Shop and I want to no if he tride to take the things out of the Shop a gain or not but Lurestin yow sed that Jessey white wos in ouer Shop and house and I want to no wher he livs wethe he has got a mill or not but I want to no if pap ever sold that mill or not but Lurestin is ther eney Boddy a working in Issac Perrys Shop or not and I havent heard / eney thing from him for some time and I have come to the conclusion to try and come home and Settle some of those fuses that pap has for I feel like a nocking thunder out of some of them lads for thay maick me so mad evry time I think of it but Mother tomey Messer is very sick he has bin laid up with the feavor and he is some better to day but Mother is pap got his books put a way or not but will Moore is on guard to day and he got a letter from yow but tomey Messer wants / No if Hannah is sick or eney of the children well Uncel Hez is a going to get a discharge and he will be home as quick as he is able to come I hav got too stamps in this letter that yow sent me but I must bring my letter to a close but write soon and dont forget to send them boots and Shirts and yow may send me eney things yow want to but as soon as the boots comes Alexander Sumers has got the money to pay for the boots
